Kevin Ruhland, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Architect
Kevin joined the BDA team in spring 2019. Prior to moving to Eugene, he spent 7 years working in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. His experience in the Midwest is highlighted by projects consisting of community recreation, K-12/higher education campus planning, K-12/higher education buildings, commercial, hospitality, single-family and multi-family housing. Kevin has been involved with projects in all stages of planning, design, development, construction, and renovation.
After completing his Master of Architecture degree from North Dakota State University, Kevin spent two years with Americorps in Rochester, MN, where he worked on renovating affordable housing, neighborhood vision planning, and establishing a network of non-profit community gardens. It was this exposure to grassroots collaboration that motivates his work with mission-driven clients and organizations.
Kevin is licensed in Oregon and North Dakota, and is a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction. Influenced by the work of Yvon Chouinard and growing up on a small farm, Kevin is a strong believer of being resourceful, fixing rather than throwing away, and the empowerment of teamwork for a collective goal.
